ROULETTE · MATH
Roulette — pick the wheel, not the bet.
Every roulette bet on a given wheel carries the same expected return. The number you place chips on is a visualization choice — it does not change the math. The only thing that matters is which wheel you sit at.
| Wheel | Zeros | House edge | EV / €100 |
|---|---|---|---|
| European (single 0) | 1 | 2.70% | -€2.70 |
| French (La Partage) | 1 | 1.35% | -€1.35 |
| American (0 + 00) | 2 | 5.26% | -€5.26 |
| Triple Zero (Sands) | 3 | 7.69% | -€7.69 |
SYSTEMS FALLACY
Why Martingale and friends do not work
The Martingale system (double after every loss) cannot beat the house edge — it converts many small wins into rare catastrophic losses with identical negative EV. The math: a €5 starting bet doubling on red has a 47.4% per-spin win rate on European. Hitting 8 consecutive losses (occurs once per 257 sequences) requires a €1 280 bet on the 9th attempt to break even — at which point the table limit usually blocks you. PUTKI HQ has never seen a system that survives 10 000 spins of simulation.
